Patrick Stafford social networking giant Facebook has a hacking cup, with finalists from 10 countries participated in the Palo Alto headquarters flown hosted.
Thousands of hackers entered the competition, which is based on analysis and deconstruct algorithms.
The competition is based around finding answers to complicated questions, rather than working in teams. In each round the hackers are asked to fill out three problems, and those who most of the problems in the shortest amount of time to resolve can go to the next round.
As reported by Mashable, said Facebook software engineer David Alves de event is not intended for recruitment, but gives the company the opportunity to speak with talented hackers. They are encouraged to apply for jobs after the competition is completed.
Facebook wants to continue the competition next year.
