Amazon well-poised to launch its own competitor to Apple's iPad?

Apple already sale on Amazon's eBook market with iBooks app and store, which effectively turns the iPhone and iPad to a costly ebook reader. However, dominates Amazon's own e-book reader, Amazon Kindle still market e-reader with Amazon have sold more digital books for its Kindle than paperbacks earlier this year.

We would be interested to see what the big (a) could bring to the table tablet. However, with iPad 2 fresh out of the gate and sell more than half a million units in its first weekend makes perhaps Amazon well to stick to its e-readers, rather than Follow Motorola, Samsung and LG to brawl with Apple.
